Don’t worry, the drought is finally over, Atinys! On 1st March 2021, Ateez came back with their newest EP, “ZERO: FEVER Part. 2,” a sequel to their last year’s summer comeback, “ZERO: FEVER Part. 1.” As their 6th mini-album, it consists of 7 tracks, with the title track, “Fireworks (I’m The One).” But don’t fret, unlike the 7 tracks, 8 Makes One team is still going strong with Mingi being featured in the EP.

Along with the music video of “Fireworks (I’m The One)” trending worldwide, Atinys went all out on this album. The title track debuted at #1 on iTunes in more than 10 countries. And yes, that also includes India. Indian Atinys helped the title track, “Fireworks (I’m The One)” chart at #1 on iTunes India. But that’s not it! “Take Me Home” entered Indian iTunes Songs Chart at #56 (at the time of writing this article).

Fireworks (I’m The One)

Like the EP, “Fireworks (I’m The One)” follows the storyline that Atinys have been trying to follow since their “Hala Hala” days. It’s a refreshing take on their dystopic storyline and the fight with the masked man while entering the genre of trap and hip-hop. We see a completely different side of the group as we have the members trying out new things like Seonghwa’s deep yet slow rap and San’s venture into crop tops. Don’t miss the totally cute cameo of Mingi as his voice appears on a radio spouting off his verse. The trap-like verses keep building up from the beginning of the song, yet we are not ready when the beat drops, introducing us to the intense chorus and choreography as the members chant, “Bulnoriya bulnoriya yeah.”

The rest of the EP is equally fiery as we have tracks like the trap “The Leaders,” and “Take Me Home.” “Take Me Home” is a retro pop song that even has an English version as Hongjoong wanted fans to immediately understand the message without needing to translate. It is evident that the group prepared with all their might as they even mentioned that they had to tone down the choreography of “Fireworks (I’m The One)” yet it’s the hardest one they’ve ever performed.

So, of course, we are touched to see Indian Atinys work equally hard in making this comeback the success that it is. Well, now we can’t wait to see how Ateez’s career is going to grow in India and if this means that we might see the name of Indian cities on their World Tour destinations! What were your thoughts on this comeback? Did you like “Fireworks (I’m The One)?” Let us know!
