Indian BLINKS #ClimateActionInYourArea

BLACKPINK, K-Pop girl group sensation that has the world whipped around to their peppy tunes, is putting their stardom at power to raise awareness about climate change in 26 World Leaders Summit at the 26th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26). In a statement, the girls said that they are backing the initiative because they “love the planet and want to learn more.”

Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa got together for a video that they posted on their social media handles saying, “Calling all BLINKS: Climate action in your area! #COP26”.

BLINKS across the globe are coming together to create CHANGE and make the world a better place to live. So how could the Desi BLINKS be left behind?

BLACKPINK INDIA (@BLACKPINKIndia) also decided to unite all Indian BLINKS to contribute to this noble cause. Inspired by their idols, they have come up with a Two-way project that will not only help in climate change but will also help to sustain the livelihood of a farmer Chandrappa K. BLINKS throughout the country are requested to participate in large numbers that can help to spread this noble message to more ears. Sankalp Taru (an NGO dedicated to planting trees, gifting trees, and coming up with ways to make our planet green) is a helping hand in this project that will be sharing the details of your geo-tagged tree, be it pictures or co-ordinates of your tree. You can select your desired tree and location and then be a part of this green movement.

Other desi fans can also share this movement on all the social media platforms using hashtags: #ClimateActionInYourArea, #IndiaForOurPlanet, #COP26 to show their contribution and encourage more people to take ACTION. So, gear up BLINKS and make the change that you want to see in this world!
