“Too many dramas, Too little time!”

All of us have been riddled with this at one point or the other, haven’t we? K-Dramaland always brings us worthwhile dramas that makes our choice difficult! The onset of February brought in a bunch of new K-Dramas from crime thrillers to science- fiction thrillers. Several ongoing K-Dramas have caught the viewers attention and are gaining high viewership ratings as well. Confused about which drama to begin with? Fret not, we bring you a list of ongoing dramas to choose from!

Most of these dramas can be viewed on Viki or Netflix.

1. Vincenzo

The drama portrays a black comedy themed story which revolves around Vincenzo Cassano, a lawyer and an Italian Mafia Consigliere of Korean descent. After facing a betrayal, he fled to his roots – South Korea, where he met a bunch of eccentric neighbours and a righteous lawyer Hong Yu Chan. One of his main reasons to re-visit Korea is revenge, a story that is taking its time to unfold. He gets entangled as an advisor in legal law suit but the twist is, this isn’t just a normal ‘good wins over evil’ drama. Although Vincenzo is going up against bad people who couldn’t be punished by law, he himself resorted to villainous means to get his revenge.

And the special thing about this drama is, it’s the first drama of Song Joong Ki after a hiatus of one and half years. Let’s take a look at the trailer to see what the drama has in store:


2. Mouse

Airing Time: Wednesday and Thursday at 10:30pm KST

The drama is about Jung Ba Reum, an honest rookie police officer who always tries his best to attain justice. His life is changed completely after he faces the case of a psychopath murderer, who has placed the entire nation in fear. This drives him and his partner Go Moo Chi to know more about the truth behind such psychopathic behaviour.

Mouse also raises the question whether it is possible to scan a psychopath in the mother’s womb using genetic fetal testing and if the child in the womb is a psychopath, so will it be a wise decision to have that child?

The themes are dark, are definitely for the light of heart. Let’s see how this interesting story unfolds in the drama, till then you can watch the trailer of the drama to know how captivating it really is.


3. Sisyphus- The Myth

This is a time travel story of a genius engineer, Han Tae Sul and his saviour from the future, Gang So Hae. Han Tae Sul is an engineer and also the co-founder of Quantum and Time Company. Quantum and Time has become a world class enterprise because of Tae Sul’s skills and accomplishments. His behaviour changes after his elder brother’s death. In turn, the company’s stocks are largely affected. One day he comes across the unreliable truth behind his brother’s death and thus, his dangerous journey to find the truth begins.

Gang Seo Hae is an elite warrior. She is a very powerful and skilled woman. She has gained these skills to survive in a world dominated by gangsters. One fine day, she travels back to the past to save Han Tae Sul. So here’s a little sneak peek of the drama:

Seo Jung In is also a reporter who has a knack for finding best stories. While doing her job, she uncovers a dark truth that could shake the whole country. With the life of her father Seo Ki Tae, who’s also the president of South Korea, on the line, she finds herself in a deadly race against time along with Lee Jun Woo. The two agreed to work together to save the president. As they both are living and working in two completely different times, they set out on a dangerous quest for the truth. Will they succeed in their mission and be able to stop those masterminds plotting the crime before it’s too late? 5. The Penthouse 2: War in Life

‘The Penthouse 2’ continues where ‘The Penthouse’ left off. The story is a thriller about the ambition, greed and revenge of the wealthy elite living in a penthouse building called ‘Hera Palace’. It brings a new dose of suspense and nail biting scenarios with it.

In this season Seo Jin and Dan Tae got rid of everyone who was in their way. Then they frame Yoon Hee for the murder of Su Ryeon. The people living in the Hera Palace thought everything would go back to normal but fate had other plans. The twist arises when Yoon Hee escapes from the prison and Eun Byeol discovers the truth. And from here starts their mysterious fates. So the question is will they be able to protect their precious palace until the very end ?

With six episodes to go, the audience is still left with more questions and puzzles. Additionally, with the announcement of season 3 even before season 2 began, left the fans in suspense as to where the story will lead next.
