On the 21st of September, it was EXO‘s lead vocalist Chen‘s birthday. Chen, also known as Kim Jongdae, turned 28 years old (according to his international age) and EXO-Ls all around the world celebrated the special occasion in numerous different ways.

@ex9dus on Instagram, an Indian fanbase for EXO, decided to take the celebrations to the next level by conducting a fan project for the singer. On 14th August they announced various categories that stans could take part in and then eventually have all their entries compiled into a video.

Then, from the 18th to the 21st of September the EX9DUS team posted videos of the entries that were made by fans, all put together, and posted according to the category they took part in. You can check out the different photos and videos below.

When we spoke to the creator of this project about what inspired them to conduct this, they said

Basically we got this idea to do something because of the lockdown. We decided since we are all stuck at home we have more time to dedicate to people we love hence we started doing these projects and we focused a lot for Chen’s Project mainly because we wanted to show that we support him and are with him through all the decisions he makes in his life.
A lot of exols gave a really positive responses . They felt the same way that we did.
Even though there is a huge chance that Chen wouldn’t be able to see this project, they were still willing to put in trust on us and time to make this project a success!

 

After a lot of hard work from both Indian EXO-Ls and the EX9DUS team, the project was a huge success!
