K-POP as a genre is not only about the music, it comprises different things such as their stellar choreographies, cinematic storytelling, eye-catching fashion all of which make it exciting and addictive for the fans. The outfits and makeup contribute to the theme and overall vision of the album. Keeping this in mind the K-pop fans came up with a new trend of honoring their favorite groups and their albums.

The new trend “Dressing up as your favorite K-pop albums” has been taking over many social media platforms across the world which include Twitter, Tik-Tok, Instagram, etc. This trend is about fans dressing similar to the vibe of their favorite album with their outfits matching the color scheme and concept of the album.

Here in India as we are in a period of lockdown, the Mizoram K-Pop Fan Club: the organizers for K-pop events in Mizoram took an initiative to make this trend a fun safe challenge for their followers on Instagram and Twitter to keep them entertained and creatively challenged, during these trying times.

Although it was a week-long project, the response was great with over 50 submissions.

The photos which had fans digging their closets to come up with gorgeous outfits as a fitting tribute to their favorite albums from groups and soloists such as Park Bom, Chen, Park Jihoon, BTS, BLACKPINK, EXO, RED VELVET, GOT7, Stray Kids, ATEEZ, Wanna One, Seventeen, NCT, DAY6, etc. There were so many great submissions and below are some of my favorite ones!
