Squid Game
A new original Korean Netflix series has been the subject of talk of drama watchers all around the globe since its very 1st official announcement. Going by the name, ‘Squid Game’, the series is a suspense-thriller series which is written and directed by an award-winning personage, Hwang Dong Hyuk. Creator Hwang Dong Hyuk is popularly renowned for his work in 2017 called the ‘The Fortress’, among various other exemplary creations. 
With the most intriguing storyline that fans of ‘Alice in Borderland’, ‘Liar Game’ and ‘Kaiji’ are sure to love – destitute individuals battling in a skillful fight with a winning reward of ₩45.6 billion and a penalty that could prove fatal, Squid Game is a highly anticipated drama. The idea for the death game storyline is said to originate from a Korean children’s game (Squid Game), which was played the most in the 1970s and 80s in the country. The drama is hence said to feature a lot of elements of the game which is like playing tag within a squid-shaped gaming area.


The cast reveal of elite actors like Lee Jung Jae, Park Hae Soo, Wi Ha Joon, Oh Young Soo, and the release of its 2 trailers in August 2021, has also amped up this tingling excitement a few more notches among fans. The announcement of Gong Yoo‘s, the most-loved actor from ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’ and ‘Train to Busan’, special appearance in Squid Game is another reason to look forward to its release. The Netflix series is all set to release worldwide in 190 countries on September 17, 2021, and everyone is invited to watch the showdown of the deadliest kids’ game!
