Ever wanted to see your love for South Korea being reciprocated by the desi Bollywood celebrities you idolize?

Well, you don’t have to wait any longer because the King of Bollywood himself has spoken!

In a recent tweet, Shah Rukh Khan, the Badshah of Bollywood has shown great interest and reverence for the Palme d’Or award-winner South Korean movie, Parasite.

The film which blends a con-man story with a tale of suspense, to uproarious and enlightening effect, is a brilliant and powerfully revealing social satire directed by South Korean filmmaker Bong Joon-ho.

“What keeps you rapt in Parasite is the visual wit — every shot distills the movie’s themes — and the richness of the characters and performances.”

~David Edelstein, movie critic

Calling it a ‘delightfully discomforting movie’, SRK was seen marveling at the bizarre look the movie offers at the social status hierarchy and discrimination, the miserable state of the world and the parasitic nature of the materialistic hope that all of us feed and live off of!

This unexpected homage paid by King Khan had fans all over India gleaming with delight as the two parallel worlds they had never thought of ever meeting, just collided with a bang.

A fan tweeted, ‘Parasite remake confirmed’, thrilled by the fortuitous news she just came across, dreaming of an epic crossover that we all want in our lives 😉

Another hopeful fan, grabbing this rare opportunity proposed the idea of ‘watching BTS next’, while another BTS ARMY replied, ‘Yes King! Now stan BTS. A philosophical conversation between you and Namjoon is the stuff my dreams are made of’.

Some fans even encouraged him to check out more k-movies and even some k-dramas; suggesting the names of some famous ones for him to check out!

In light of this serendipitous revelation of the King’s shared admiration for our favorite South Korean movie industry, I guess it’s safe to say that the day when a crossover between these two separate worlds takes place isn’t far!

Comment your thoughts on this unexpected show of veneration and the hopes it arises in your K-loving hearts 🙂
