Upcoming K-Dramas

The beautiful spring season has just passed, finishing a quarter half of the year already and in just a blink we are already halfway into the year 2021. Though the year didn’t go as well as we hoped for but certainly in these depressing and unprecedented times, to keep us all motivated and going, K-Dramas had our backs. We honestly couldn’t be more than thankful for that. From True Beauty to recently finished airing Vincenzo, this spring, we got a variety of enthralling storylines that kept us all stuck to our screens.

While the lockdown-driven solitary has shifted more eyes towards K-Dramas, thus raising its popularity, it seems like it’s not halting any time soon, especially when we are here with the list of most anticipated upcoming K-Dramas to accompany you this summer.

Driven by the continuation of its light-toned theme which gave comfort to the audience in the dreadful pandemic, Hospital Playlist 2 will continue the stories of five friends who in the previous season entered the same medical school, graduated together, and started working in the same hospital. This season, we can expect to see more aspects to their friendship and relations when it will face newer challenges.

Police Class

Cast: Cha Tae Hyun, Jung Jin Young, Krystal

Genre: Comedy Romance, Youth

Releasing: July 26, 2021

Watch at: KBS2 (Not available on online streaming services)

Synopsis: “Police Class” is about a detective who catches criminals with all his might and a former hacker who uses his intelligence to solve everything.

Yoo Dong Man, played by Cha Tae Hyun, is a Police University professor who has 20 years of experience working in various divisions as a violent crimes’ detective and as a member of the cyber investigation team whereas Kang Sun Ho, played by Jung Jin Young, is a hacker who eventually becomes a first-year student at the Police University. The two meet at the Police University as a professor and student, and they cooperate to investigate a case together.

Now the title and the synopsis may trick the audience here by confusing it to be a serious drama with characters like “Police” and “Hacker” involved but apparently, the drama is footed in the lighter tones of romance, comedy, and youth! So, it will be interesting to watch how the directors and writers will serve the blend of these variances.
