Week after week we are surprised with exciting and refreshing latest KPop songs. This week was no different, with the much anticipated return of NCT Dream after over a year to VAV’s special single for their fans. The week got more interesting with OSTs from dramas like Youth of May and Taxi Driver. YUQI of (G)I-DLE also made her solo debut with two stunning songs from her digital single album A Page. Let’s take a quick look at the latest KPop songs released in the past six days.

NCT Dream – Hot Sauce

NCT Dream’s first studio album after over four years of debut, Hot Sauce brings back the spunky and fun nature of NCT Dream’s discography. This album also marks Mark’s return to the group, and the septet is showing the best of their singing abilities in the song. Hot Sauce is a flaming hot combo of vocals, visuals and dance served on a sizzler platter. If you’re hungry, then I would suggest watching the music video after you have had something to eat.

Oh My Girl – Dun Dun Dance

Oh My Girl’s Dun Dun Dance is the song you want to listen when you want to listen a fresh track. The group made a peppy comeback with an equally cheerful title track. The music video for the song resonates the cheerful meaning of the lyrics, and overall it is a good combo of sweetness and happy vibes.

VAV – Always

Always is VAV’s gift to the fans. On May 10, VAV’s member ACE departed on the mandatory enlistment and on the same day the group released this special single song fo their friends. It will be a while before we see the septet together, and songs like these will make the wait easier. The song is a soulful melody of emotional lyrics and VAV’s soothing vocals. The digital also features two solos by ACE, which serve as a bittersweet gift for the fans until he returns from the military service.

Borest – Rest (Youth of May OST)

The drama Youth of May  is steadily rising the popularity charts for the cute romance between the leads and also the nostalgic setting of the 80s. Rest suits the soft flowing tone of the drama, and the drama breathes in a new life into the scenes. Borest’s vocals complimented with the soft instrumentals elevate the song to a melodic listen, which is perfect for a sombre evening.

 

Simon Dominic – Run Away (Taxi Driver OST Pt. 5)

A powerful turn of events calls for a powerful music track. Run Away by Simon Dominic pumps in the energy needed to amp up the drama. This hiphop track, when clubbed with the drama scenes, narrates a wholesome thrilling story.

 

ONEUS – Black Mirror

ONEUS’s Black Mirror is the perfect party song from this week’s latest K-Pop songs. The silvery white and metallic black visuals in the music video will ensnare your attention and get you grooving instantly. The rap flows seamlessly with the vocals and the track maintains the upbeat tone throughout.

Blitzers – Breathe Again

Rookie group BLITZERS made a debut with Breathe Again. It plays at highlighting each member and is a pleasant listen too. The song itself has the elements of a KPop song that will catch one’s attention, and the choreography is also smooth. What the group brings in future will definitely be interesting to see!

WJSN The Black – Easy

WJSN’s new sub-unit The Black made a smooth debut with Easy. The hook of the song is an earworm, and you’ll find yourself humming to ‘easssy, easssy’ in no time. The trap beats run steadily throughout the song. The group’s breathy vocals are highlighted nicely in this song.

10CM – Sleepless In Seoul (Ft Akmu’s Suhyun)

1oCM is known for indie music and perky tracks, combine this with AKMU Suhyun’s vocals, and you get a wonderful rendition like Sleepless in Seoul. The song’s jazzy beats will make you get up from your place and twirl a little. Kang Daniel – Outerspace (Ft. Loco)

Kang Daniel released his first song Outerpace on the Universe app. The song’s music indeed feels like out of space owing to the semi-synth beats and Kang Daniel’s cheerful vocals. Loco’s feature in the track add that element of extra zest and presents a wholesome track for the listeners.

Yuqi (G)I-DLE – Giant

YUQI’s solo debut is a splendid track with lyrics of empowerment. The music video is a shade apart from the usual videos that we come across. The 2D animation in the shades of black, white and brown paint a vivid picture of struggle and overcoming them. YUQI’s Giant track is sung completely in English, the songs comes across even more powerful with the rock guitar tones.
